Motherhood is a choice that you make every day. It can be underwhelming or overwhelming at a times. Whether you are expectant, new, or an experienced mom, there are tons of activities which you are always responsible for including your young ones. This means that starting a new week, especially Mondays can be very challenging. It’s easy to get demotivated. But a Monday morning motivation can change your day as well as your whole week. 1. Make Use of Quotes

“Start Where You Are, Use What You Have & Do What You Can.” – Arthur Ashe

This is one of my favorite quotes because it is applicable in nearly all aspects of life. Start Where You Are? yes, grab a cup of coffee, lean back and sip as you contemplate what to do next. It doesn’t matter what you have because nobody has everything. But you should understand that everyone has something. Do what you can because there’s no better way to be a parent. Some days you will only be surviving and others you will thrive. Simply do what you can in the best way possible. There are many quotes about motherhood online and not only are they sweet but they will help to uplift your feelings and encourage you.

2. Strategist

It’s Monday, right? You should be on the move and while trying to optimize your time. But have you tried to strategize first? You need to work but what is your strategy? What are you planning to accomplish? Monday mornings are usually hectic for most moms. However, this is the best time to sit down, make plans and strategize. Create the schedule for the day as well as the week and the activities that you need to carry out. Set specific milestones, how and when you plan to achieve them. Strategizing helps you to understand what you need to work on and how you can work towards it. Additionally, it helps to save time and energy.

3. Do Reverse Planning

Planning for all the activities you want to do is important. However, it’s easy to get demotivated especially if you are planning for the whole week. However, a reverse planning can help you to stay motivated. This what works for me. Normally, I create two lists. The first one is about all I have accomplished and then what I plan to accomplish.
It’s easy to forget about all the meaningful things you have done and your achievements. A reverse list can remind you that everything you do matters. It’s the perfect Monday morning motivation because it will enhance your ambitions.

4. Divide You Tasks Into Tiny Bits

Being the first day of the week, Mondays are meant to be intense. It sets the mood for the rest of the week. But looking at everything you are supposed to, it’s easy to get discouraged. However, dividing your tasks into small chunks will help you accomplish more. You are able to complete your work within minutes, take breaks, refresh, and then continue. Division of labor makes everything easy and simple.

5. Self-Care

A physically and mentally healthy mom is a productive and loving mom. You have made your plans but what’s better than giving yourself a little treat on a Monday Morning before you begin the activities of the day. Go to the gym, take a bath, read your favorite book, meditate etc. Personally, I love yoga. It sets my mood right and increases my flexibility. Generally, Yoga is great for both physical and mental well-being. There’s no better way of starting your Monday activities while your body and mind are all relaxed and refreshed.

Getting motivated on a Monday morning can be very challenging. You are just from the weekend and your body and mind are still sluggishly trying to adapt. Using mantras, strategizing, and self-care are some of the things that can help you get started. They inspire, motivate, and empower you to be the best version of yourself.
